My research interests are broadly based in the areas of systems neurobiology, neuroethology, collective behavior and bio-inspired engineering.
I am passionate about making science accessible to students and the public. Currently, I am a lecturer in the Psychology Department at the University of Maryland College Park, working to develop curricula for a new neuroscience major. Previously, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Carnegie Institution for Science, Department of Embryology, in the laboratory of Dr. Marnie Halpern and received my PhD in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science from the University of Maryland, working in the Collective Dynamics and Control Laboratory of Dr. Derek Paley. |
